Shakyamuni Vihara (Shakyamuni Buddhist Society, Malacca) is a newly established Buddhist centre in Melaka that serves to propagate the real and original teachings of the Buddha, the historical Shakyamuni Buddha. The centre is established with the main goal of providing the right platform, access and knowledge on the Dhamma and discourses by the Buddha to get the true and right message to the people and also to serve the society in various ways that will further uphold the Buddha Sasana.

Besides serving as the propagation platform of the Dhamma and the teachings, the centre also strives to provide the path of wisdom and practice for spiritual growth and understanding through meditation practice and guidance, organisation of important Buddhist observances and activities, charitable programmes for the needy and many other beneficial activitiesfor the benefit of the society at large and in serving humanity.

To disseminate and cultivate the understanding, practice and realisation of the original teachings of Shakyamuni Buddha and authentic Holy Dhamma and Buddhist Principles with special emphasis on morality, cultivation of the mind, and realisation of wisdom with compassion to all sentient beings
